Cass Technical High School In Detroit To Be Demolished

Hold up. They are tearing my school down. I am a proud Cass Technical High School Class of 2005 Graduate! I have soooo many memories in that school. I made so many friends. Learned so much.

…and after 5 years and 1 new building, they are tearing my mug down. This is actually sad to me. I didn’t think it would matter, but I kind of feel like a part of me is being taken away. Granted, its a very old and dangerous eye sore in downtown Detroit…but it hasn’t always been that way. It was a school, a great school, that produced doctors, lawyers, mayors, police officers, professional athletes, teachers, musicians, business professionals, actors and artists…mostly success.

The building is 93 years young, and demolition is set to begin in November 2010.  The city will also be salvaging bricks, plaques, two arch ways, and old artifacts from the building.

Goodbye CT 😦
