I have the best mom. Unexpectedly she sent me a really uplifting letter addressing my current state of panic and misfortune, and I’ve decided to share. It’s a great feeling to know someone cares about you and what you’re going through. I hope someone else can read this and apply it to their situation (if they have one).
Hello my darling beautiful, sweet, attractive, expensive, never to be ignored Taylor!
Things will get better. You know this. I know this. We know this because you are a bright, beautiful and very talented person (and you look like me back in the day and I was slamming!) I know your success is on the horizon because when things are this difficult it makes you appreciate your special gifts, helps you to understand who you can trust and depend on, and helps you get focused on the things important in your life.
Your source of strength lies within you. I gave you physical birth. GOD gave you spirit. You gave yourself personality – when you combine these three attributes you will see that they occurred specifically to help you be you. The “You” that you are meant to be for a reason, in due season, and when its supposed to happen in your life – in due time. Time goes by really quickly, so cherish life – in good times or bad – as these times serve to mold you into the person you are destined to become – BEAUTIFUL!
Love, Mommie
I’m just a little frustrated right now, but I’m confident that everything will work out just the way it’s supposed to. I tend to be a little too hard on myself as it pertains to where I’m at in life or what I am doing. At 25, I may not be where I want to be…but I’m headed in a positive direction. Thanks mom!
Awww tear! This is n awesome letter! I love ur mom!

Wow. You just don’t know…..this letter hit home, this was incredibly thoughtful of your mommy! She is awesome, I see where you get it. I know EXACTLY how you feel, but as with myself, I have faith in the God who has never failed me yet. Two of my favorite scriptures are Proverbs 3:5-6 and Jeremiah 29:11, and they give me confidence whenever I am being hard on myself. You should check them out when you get the chance. Chin up 🙂
Thank God for his greatest gift…mothers.
