First Annual Christmas Food Drive!

Running now through December 18th 2009, any non-perishable and monetary gifts are being accepted and donated to the Covenant House of Michigan.

“Covenant House Michigan is a sanctuary for young people who have nowhere to go. Kids who come to our doors have been abused and neglected, have slept on friends’ couches or in abandoned buildings. These kids have been forgotten by those who are supposed to care about them the most.”  - Covenant House Michigan

Random Find: Neighborhood Base Control

Neighborhood has worked with Base Control on a bunch of  dope items. They are now releasing a  zip-up hoodie and a longsleeve t-shirt.

I like this concept for a few reasons:

1.) my undying love for hoodies 2.) my love of men who dress well 3.) Greek Alphabet (such a cool look to me)

Graffiti ‘N’ Junk

Graffiti artist TooFly just launched her collection of “Freestyle Eco-Block” rings.

Inspired by her paisanos, the wooden rings were crafted in Ecuador and hand panted by TooFly and her lil’ sis, Joanne Marie. This line is an expansion on her “Trinity” finger ring collection, done in collaboration with Goodwood NYC.

I will rock the shit out of these thangs. They also look like pretty cool weapons if a bish jump stupid! Completely kidding…Stop the Violence! Increase the PEACE!

Break International Records Much?

(In my BEST Beyonce voice) I knew it would come to this.

The entire Twilight saga is the shit. This is what I have been saying all my life.

Here is my proof: The Twilight Saga: New Moon opened up with $140.7 million in its first three days and pulled in a total of $258.8 million worldwide, according to studio estimates. That total nearly doubles the opening of the first Twilight film back in 2008 which had an impressive $69.6 million.

Not only that, but ‘New Moon’ now has the record for the biggest Friday opening of all time with an astounding $72.7 million, beating previous record holder ‘The Dark Knight’ which opened in 2008 with $67.2 million on nearly 800 more screens.

This puts the film at the #3 spot for having the biggest opening weekend sales in history, only being beaten by Spider-Man 3 at #2 and The Dark Knight at #1.
