The Andy Warhol Foundation has decided to team up with makeup artist Francois Nars to create a limited edition cosmetic collection. With Nars flaunting the title as cosmetic power house and Warhol holding tight to the legendary pop art crown, this collaboration is sure to take beauty to abstract levels.
As Warhol has witty responses to everything, here’s a quotation from the late artist that seems apt in light of the new makeup collection: “Some company recently was interested in buying my ‘aura.’ They didn’t want my product. They kept saying, ‘We want your aura.’ I never figured out what they wanted.”
Expected to hit stores in October, the project promises bright hues, unseen quality and stellar packaging.
