What do you guys think of this? I have mixed opinions. On one hand I think this is a pretty cool opportunity, but then I also think that while people are investing in other countries, maybe they should be investing in good ol’ America.
This Time Magazine article highlights Africa’s still largely untapped economy, calling the continent the world’s last investment frontier.
Two years ago, BET.com featured a few photos from “Blacks Without Borders: Chasing the American Dream in South Africa,” a documentary about Black American entrepreneurs who are relocating to South Africa and finding success there.
Now, a Baltimore group, Diversity Restoration Solutions, will screen the film during its 2010 Africa Business Conference and Trade Fair in June. The film’s director and producer Stafford Bailey will be on hand to talk about his film and how Americans who have made the move to Africa are handling their transitions.
