Abercrombie Sues Beyonce Over Fragrance Plans!

BASICALLY Abercrombie  & Fitch Co. is trying to sue Beyonce over using the name “Fierce” for her new fragrance. It’s supposed to be called “Sasha Fierce”, and I’m assuming it’s a play off last solo project.

Anyhoot, Abercrombie (yes, the teen CLOTHING retailer) is suggesting that Beyonce is unfairly benefiting from the reputation they have already built with customers by using “fierce”. Abercrombie has a men’s fragrance that was trademarked in 2003 using the word “fierce”.

Personal Opinion time!! Yay!!

Serious? Like are they forreal. Beyonce is BIGGER than Abercrombie will EVER be. They are in two completely different markets. She can sell anything without the “existing reputation” of another company. Her name alone is big enough to do numbers. I have NEVER even heard of Abercromie’s “Fierce” fragrance for MEN, and if you ask me….its a bit homo for a man to wear something called Fierce. I think this was a ploy for Abercrombie to get free press, because you and I know ANYTHING with Beyonce’s name tied to it, makes headlines.

If they wanna sue Bey, they may as well sue America’s Next Top Model (all 600 seasons of it), because if they haven’t coined the term, I don’t know who did.

Good grief. The recession must be hitting everywhere…people out here tryna get their change by any means necessary.
