The new thing is doing mini movies? Melanie Fiona released the video to her new song “Watch Me Work”; which contained tidbits of spoken word, comedy, and action films centered around mass empowerment. Some of the films featured include Kill Bill, Bridesmaids, The Color Purple, and a SNL Skit.

I love this song!! This video is a cool compilation of all the King’s best dance performances and music videos. This song is also proof that men have unstable emotional issues too!! Yay for women!!

Hello Detroit!
I hopped in my car for a road trip last weekend. I braved the highway for about 10 hours; venturing to Detroit to visit my family and celebrate my grandmothers 85th birthday!! I got to visit my cousin Jessica and her family, hang with my best buddies, and eat at the glorious Michigan ONLY food spots. I wish I could’ve stayed a little longer…but if you know me, you know I’m a slave to work. Back on that clock come Monday morning!
I got to get a full body massage, eat my cousins famous spaghetti, celebrate a 5th birthday, laugh because Dave couldn’t remember my name, visit a mock jury selection (my cousin is in Law School), do some shopping, drive in the pouring rain, go to a bar and have a few drinks, go to King of Diamonds in Detroit (yea they have one), drag luggage up three flights of stairs (thx LaQuail), laugh the entire time, eat delicious omelets (thx Man), shop some more, party with the family, laugh some more, pop up on my breezy (thx Brittney), sleepover with the bestie, make a music video (thx Kelly), and eat eat eat. There are a few things/people I didn’t get to do/see … but I’ll be back before you know it!

People Are People
Do you know what your “friends” are saying about you? To be clear, I’m using “friends” in the loosest sense possible. I’m referring to the people you may talk to when it’s time to “go out”, the people you may be deciding if they’re worth actually “dating”, the people you keep around for no apparent reason, etc..
I can’t speak for everyone else, but I am fully aware that most people have an opinion of me. Sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad. I am a person that takes pride in my character because of how I was raised, my faith in God, and other extra tid-bits of my personality. I know what is wrong. I know what is right. I’ve made interesting and not so interesting decisions in my life. All in all, I’ve been able to stay on the straight and narrow path – deviating from time to time (I’ll attribute the deviance to a necessary life component of learning for yourself).
